Temporary Resident Visa or TRV is another name for a Visitor Visa, which is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office, it is typically a sticker (counterfoil) placed in your passport. It displays a date of issue and date of expiry. It allows the holder to seek entry into Canada up to the expiry date. As a visitor you may be able to stay in Canada for up to 6 months, or to a date determined by the border services officer.
